CACI is looking for experienced Technical Writers to support a key program in Crystal City, VA.
Researches, organizes, writes, edits, and produces technical documentation. Organizes material and writes according to standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
The ideal candidate has a strong writing/editing background, is organized, and possesses a strong passion to get processes and procedures properly documented.
This position is responsible for working with technical SMEs to understand, synthesize and develop Contract deliverables, Standard operating procedures, check lists
Technical analysis and process documents.
Attends meeting and prepare minutes and summary notes.
Develops, maintains and accumulates operational metrics to accurately reflect operational status.
Performs quality assurance of documents and edits and corrects content and formats.
Maintains Sharepoint sites and process asset library.
Ability to manage multiple assignments while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to documentation standards, and a timely delivery of all work products.
Writes material that is related to the technical operation, and mission of the IIPS-A program.
The incumbent receives assignment and technical information from a supervisor or government manager, may be provided notes or manuals containing operating procedures and details, and may observe production, developmental or experimental activities to expand or verify the provided operating procedures and details.
Conduct in-depth interviews with DOD personnel in order to document process or procedures.
Work with application developers, engineers and SME's to produce system documentation.
Provide technical editing for product deliverables.
Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Must have a Secret clearance
8- 10 years of tech writing or related experience to include business analyst or requirements gathering.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
5 years' experience developing technical documentation for a software or infrastructure project expert using Microsoftword and Viso
Experience documenting a US Army ERP implementation
Experience working in the US Army's HR functional field
Master's degree in related field
Experience in building or implementing a ERP
Experience with PeopleSoft
