FSA, a rapidly growing professional services company delivering highly qualified personnel in support of the government's mission, has an immediate vacancy for a Security Analyst to support the mission of the Federal Bureau of Investigations in Washington, DC.
This position is in the FBI International Operations Division and will provide personnel and physical security support to the personnel of IOD office and the Legal Attach- offices overseas.
A Security Analyst will provide Data Analyst tasks and execute the following duties:
Review and analyze requests for investigations concerning security clearances, requirements, violations, and assessments
Initiate or perform extensive checks in order to obtain the most complete and pertinent identifying information relative to subject involved
Assist in conducting Person Security Interviews as determined during the course of the security investigation, in conjunction with information developed or per the request of partnered agencies
Summarize data and compose necessary correspondence to appropriate offices for initiation of investigation
Prepare a detailed analysis of all information developed, supporting analysis and recommendations to initiate further investigation
Assist in conducting security briefing and revise security briefings based on the specific issues developed and security requirements
Receive, review and critically analyzes incoming material/correspondence outlining possible security concerns relating to complex security assessment issues for the purpose of determining merit for granting, continuing and or revoking security clearance and access authorizations
Initiate specific checks to obtain the most complete, pertinent and identifying information relative to subjects
Participate in security compliance reviews, surveys and inspections of all space and other sensitive information to determine adherences to security regulations and policies
Assist employees in determining the type of safeguards, space restrictions, tracking systems and guidelines which govern the movements, handling, storage and protection provided and other sensitive information
Review, analyze and prepare routine incoming/outgoing communications which set forth physical security policy/guidelines requirements
Prepare/update audits regarding compliance with established physical and information security guidelines
Support access control requirements of the division
This position will also:
Review Data and information from multiple sources
Establish case/project files
Enter and retrieve data from data bases
Prepare and format management reports
Manipulate, transfer, compute and print information
Create and manipulate spreadsheets
Prepare and correct reports and correspondence using word processing software
Conduct validation and verification of case files and case data system
The Security (Records Examiner) Analyst may serve as the contractor's supervisor in small offices. The Analyst shall have the ability to: Be responsible for the day to day supervision of contractor assignments, Provide on-site supervision for Contractor workforce, Provide on-the-job training for new personnel, Ensure Contractor personnel meet periodic training requirements, Schedule Contractor employees, Provide on-site quality assurance and quality control of work performed by Contractor personnel
NOTE: Candidates with existing TS clearance and ability to obtain SCI Access are strongly preferred
A Security (Records Examiner) Analyst must meet the following qualifications:
Must have one year's experience in a field related to law enforcement
Have the ability to deal effectively with others and nurture a confident and cooperative environment
Possess strong analytical skills in order to analyze various materials (i.e. Investigative reports regarding security vulnerabilities for approval or denial of facility or system access)
Knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies
Oral and written communications skills consistent with the level of security assignments. (i.e. Ability to conduct interviews, facilitate security briefings, and discuss analysis and opinion in a concise, logical, and objective manner. Have the ability to prepare written communications setting forth security analyses and recommendations.)
A four year undergraduate degree is preferred
Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions is very important
Must possess a demonstrated ability to analyze documents to extract information
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.
