Limited Duration: Intermittent, Temporary, Seasonal/On-Call

Location: Nationwide, to include CA, TX, AZ, NM, FL, etc.

Travel:  Optional, Up to 100%

Schedule: Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

MVM, Inc. – a leading provider of professional, technical, administrative, and program management support services to the Federal Government – is looking for a Shelter Site Lead on a provisional consultant commitment to be part of a highly capable team tasked with deploying temporary emergency shelters anywhere in the US to provide care to Unaccompanied Children (UC). These requests are generated from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and are typically limited in duration periods to of 3-6 months or longer, depending upon the need. 

The Shelter Site Lead plays an integral part during the operation of the shelter by providing the necessary day-to-day supervision of a vast team of Youth Care Workers to ensure safety and compliance standards are met. The Site Lead provides direction to the Shift Supervisors to ensure the intake and residential sectors are operating smoothly, and the unaccompanied children are being properly care for. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

·         Ensure the proper UC to staff ratio is being met.

·         Monitors the overall status of the residential and intake sectors are compliant with ORR regulations.         

·         Maintain proper count of all the UC under shelter care.

·         Works with other departments to ensure UC’s are attending all of the required functions.

Minimum Requirements: 

·         Bachelor’s in Business Administration or equivalent degree in a field related to logistics, or to human services or similar occupational areas.

·         Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

·         Pass fingerprint-based criminal background check.

·         Pass Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) check.

Deployment-Based Travel:

Depending on the shelter location requested by ORR, Director-level personnel may be required to travel up to 100% of the time for the duration of the shelter deployment. Travel expenses will be paid according to Federal Travel Regulations. Locations may include, but are not limited to, New Mexico, California, Texas, and Arizona.
