Data Systems Analysts, Inc. has an opening for a Mid-Level Applications Engineer/Software Developer. This is a full time position in Aberdeen, MD in support of the US Army. Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software applications as part of the customers overall information technology framework.
The Application developer will have experience in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create applications. Capable of client side development including use of AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, and experience with REST APIs. Knowledge of mobile application development is a plus. Other languages may be used as necessary and will be indicated by the Team Lead.
Candidate must be DoD 8570 qualified for the position (two parts):
1. CompTIA Security+ certification is required to start and must be current under Continuing Education (CE) rules.
2. Computing Environment certification is required within 6 months of start date.
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance
Minimum two years of professional experience supporting technology delivery to commercial or government clients
At least two years' experience in analyzing user requirements and proposing potential system solutions.
Knowledge of, understanding and compliance with development standards and SDLC to ensure consistency (Agile and Waterfall)
Experience using project management tools e.g. MS Project and JIRA
Experience developing mobile applications/mobile ready applications is a plus
Microsoft Office Suite skills are desired
Education and Certification:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required
CompTIA Security+ certification is required and must be current under Continuing Education (CE) rules.
One or more Computing Environment certification for Development (ie: MS.Net, Java, PHP, other)
