Position Summary:
Segue Technologies seeks a System Administrator with training experience to support a potential project at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. Full-Time position hours 0730-1630, Monday through Friday. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·         Provide Tier I & II telephone, on-site and on-line user support for Sakai users
·         Provide Tier I & II telephone, on-site and on-line user support for Collaborate users
·         Document all issues in Trouble-ticketing system (JIRA)
·         Ensure Cyber Security safeguards relating to Learning Management Systems (LMS) are adhered to in accordance with DoD policy
·         Research eventual LMS replacement
·         Generate Sakai and Collaborate reports indicating course site information, user connections, guest account information, etc.
·         Perform System Administration duties ensuring server upgrades are employed
·         Provide upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of servers and computers; ensuring uptime, performance, and security by providing routine automation, applying security patches and troubleshooting and repair systems
·         Provide administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of LMS
·         Train users on LMS to deliver and manage instructional content on a quarterly basis
·         Conduct ten (10) hours of hands-on training to resident users per academic quarter and ten (10) hours on-line training to distance learning users per academic quarter on LMS system usage, student testing, content efficiency, record-keeping, document management, and training administration
·         Additional tasks as required
Required Skills:
·         Bachelor's degree in IT Systems, Engineering, or other technical field from an accredited college or university or three (3) verifiable years of relevant Learning Management System Administration experience
·         1+ year of experience in Learning Management System Administration or equivalent
·         1+ year of experience installing, operating, and maintaining Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems
·         1+ year of experience providing technical computer and network support in the form of on-site visits or remote help via telephone, e-mail, text, instant messaging, online chat and remote desktop control
·         1+ year of experience using CKEditor, Sakai’s primary HTML’s editing tool or equivalent
·         1+ year of experience in documenting, testing, and bug fixing in a software development environment
·         1+ year of experience using Pentaho for data integration & business analytics or equivalent
·         Excellent written and oral communications skills
·         Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment
·         IAT Level II Certification required (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
·         U.S. Citizenship is required
