Description: Leidos is working on a Department of Energy (DOE) IT program, and is in the process of identifying a high-performance team to include Seat Service Asset Acquisition and Management positions (listed below).
This program will be primarily located in the Washington, DC Metro area with some support also required in Albuquerque, NM.
These positions will support a complete hardware and software lifecycle management solution, which will account for all IT assets that support the end user environment. This includes tracking the hardware in use, where that hardware is deployed, and how that hardware is configured, as well as tracking the software in use, including all applicable licensing and configuration. These positions will provide management of IT assets - primarily end user desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, and associated peripherals - throughout the asset lifecycle including:
Asset Procurement, Service Catalog Maintenance and Invoicing Responsibilities * Purchase of all hardware and peripheral devices that satisfy end user computing needs. * Initial procurement and supply chain logistics support for the ordering of IT equipment through multiple vendors, including purchase requisitions, warranty, break-fix return, and end-of-life disposal coordination with multiple suppliers * Maintenance of the Asset Catalog with asset descriptions, details, and pricing information, including accurate invoicing and interface with the billing systems * Provide a monthly chargeback report that itemizes each cost line item in accordance with customer's cost taxonomy.
Required Skills * Bachelor's degree in a related curriculum o Five (5) years of specific job related experience or eight (8) years of general experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree * Experience with procurement and requisition processes, purchase ordering systems, and multiple vendor coordination * Effective oral and written communication skills * Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies, methods, processes, and procedures * Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work * Ability to pass the initial PIV access background check to achieve a DOE public trust clearance
Desired Skills * Experience supporting DOE or other government agencies * Experience with Leidos supply chain and procurement systems * Experience with ITSM Catalog systems (Remedy, ServiceNow)
Asset Management Responsibilities * Support for asset shipping, receipt, storing, distribution (both permanent allocation and temporary loaner management), inventory management, return, and disposal * Implementation of the asset request process through the Catalog including hand-off to deskside support or walk-up support for asset delivery, pickup, and return * Support for both hardware and software license asset management * At the close of their useful life, perform data wiping and destroy all hard drives and storage devices containing DOE information in compliance with Departmental and Federal guidelines concerning the handling of DOE data
Required Skills * High School diploma or GED. * Effective oral and written communication skills * Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies, methods, processes, and procedures * Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work * Ability to pass the initial PIV access background check to achieve a DOE public trust * Ability to obtain an "L" (Secret) level clearance
Desired Skills * Experience with IT asset management, inventory management, and disposal. * Experience supporting DOE or other government agencies * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ITSM suites (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow) * Knowledge of ITIL service management concepts * Current DOE Public Trust, or "L" (Secret) level clearance
