Job Title: Part-Time On Call (PTOC) Training Specialist IV
The Training Specialist (OC/T Team Member) executes one or more of the following tasks from a Mission Command, Maneuver, Fires, or Logistics perspective: o Develops assessments input for the exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after action review of company through COCOM-level exercises in support of the Joint Event Life Cycle. o Designs, develops, rehearses, and executes academics to meet commander's staff training requirements for operations in a U.S. Army, Joint, or NATO environment. o Designs, develops, rehearses, and executes OC/T training for designated personnel. o Executes OC/T functions for "Over the Shoulder" staff training and exercise assessment to include development and execution of After Action Review products and take-away packages.
and performs one or more of the following or related tasks: o Works closely with the forces to provide tailored information to enhance combat effectiveness. o Provides sophisticated military skills and knowledge in combination with other technical skills to ensure that optimized war and contingency plans are developed. o Develops training plans and /or trains U.S. forces in one or more functional areas, or in general combat skills. o Evaluates trainees and training plans to ensure training objectives are met.
o Response Cell and Role Player duties. o Execute Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) functions to observe training audience actions, assess training audience reactions, conduct over-the-shoulder training, build After Action Reviews, and conduct classes within a specific functional area. o Researches, analyzes, implements and develops specialized training materials to enhance military exercises. o Trains U.S. and multinational military personnel on specialized areas. o Trains exercise support personnel how to emulate specialized areas. o Role plays U.S. Army, joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and/or multinational individuals. o Analyzes and operates simulation and mission command systems. o Develops, coordinates, synchronizes, and delivers master scenario event list products to stimulate training. o Develops and presents after action materials.
Required Education and Experience:
11 years of specialized experience, or Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10+ years of specialized experience; master's degree in a related field and 8 years of specialized experience. Must have prior military service, with Military Education Level 4 or equivalent, be a former S3, Fires Support Officer, or S4 and had one assignment with or in support of NATO and/or Joint services. Prior OC/T experience very desirable. Must possess and maintain SECRET security clearance.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
o Experience analyzing, training and supporting exercise development and operating U.S. military simulations systems. o Experience operating and monitoring one or more of the U.S. Army Battle Command Systems. o U.S. military experience preferred. o Experience operating Microsoft Office products.
