Roles and Responsibilities:
The qualified applicant will be involved in all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, testing, implementation, and production support. These projects are global in scope, and assist the U.S. Government in addressing prevention of disease and directing national and international capacity building investments.
* Design, develop and support .NET Web Applications.
* Perform database design, updates, queries, and generate reports.
* Develop and test applications and integration of functionality as needed to ensure compliance with CDC and HHS standards.
* Develop and support ongoing documentation efforts.


Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience or 6 years of relevant experience to satisfy the education requirement.
* 2 years of experience with .NET 3.x and 4.x.
* Experience with ASP.Net and JavaScript.
* Ability to work independently, on a large team, and on concurrent tasks.
* Strong written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Healthcare, Public Health, Surveillance-related projects.
* Experience in Agile development, JIRA, TFS and SharePoint.
* Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012, JQuery, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT.
