Location: Arlington, VA (The Pentagon) Arlington, VA (20318)
Required Security Clearance: Must already possess a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Provides expertise in the following disciplines: Personnel Security and Special Security Office (PERSEC/SSO)
Provide personnel security expertise to government client in application of National (Executive Orders), DOD, Agency, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) security policy, procedures, systems, and programs to ensure security eligibility of personnel for entry into facilities, assignment to sensitive positions, and access to sensitive and classified information
Conduct in/out processing for assigned personnel
Initiate investigations in electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing (eQIP) via OPMs NP2 portal and review
Provide assistance and act as help desk for users accessing eQIP
Capture fingerprints utilizing Secure Web Fingerprint Transaction (SWFT)
Process requests for interim TS and interim SCI access
Process contractor SCI nomination packages
Process badges requests, collateral/SCI visit certifications, indoc/debrief assists, and assist walk-in customers with various personnel security related questions and issues
Process and issue SCI courier cards
Must have knowledge of security concepts, principles, and practices necessary to review, analyze, and resolve complex issues;
Must have skills in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the overall security program
Excellent organizational/communications skills and the ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels
Experience with electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (eQIP), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Central Verification System (CVS), Scattered Castles (SC), Secure Web Fingerprint Transaction (SWFT), Record Message Traffic (RMT), and Message Information Services and Tools for the Intelligence Community (MISTIC)
A minimum of 6-8 years of related experience in personnel security
Experience working in a full service Personnel Security Office with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Special Security Office (SSO) authority.
First shift normal duty date with hours of: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Must be willing to work flexible hours from time to time. May be asked to come in early or work late as needed.
