Data Systems Analysts is currently seeking a Junior Test Engineer for a role on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position in Fort Meade, offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission related software and systems. The candidate will be part of a high performance team that will work with Government Program Managers and a representative of the Joint Interoperability Test Center to ensure critical enterprise services continue to meet customer expectations for performance and operability following upgrades, addition of new functionality, patches, and/or implementation of STIGS and IAVAs.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) deliverables
Ability to take total ownership of assigned components
Two (2) years of experience in test engineering or integration of modern hardware/software systems
Proficient in the development and integration of test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, and reports.
Knowledge of DISA's Authorized Service Interruption process
Knowledge of maintaining a comprehensive configuration management database of hardware and software changes.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Two (2) years of requirements analysis experience and in particular must be fully trained or have experience in the testing of systems at the component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.
Experience in writing test cases and writing discrepancy reports.
Required Education and Certification:
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Must have, or obtain within 90 days of hire, a Security+ Certification
