Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Training Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals located in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS) Military Training Team. AMDWS provides situational awareness and planning control capabilities for a distributed Air and Missile Defense Enterprise. The primary responsibilities involve the development of technical and training documentation and the conduct of New Equipment Training (NET) prior to tests, logistics demonstrations, and initial equipment fielding to military units and the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) schools personnel. Training will be conducted at diverse locations world-wide. Ability to travel for extended periods required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supports training material developers and writers. Must have experience in planning and executing of military training exercises, including doctrinal development, embedded training scenario development, practical exercise development, test question development and after action review and analysis - Conducts on-site training consisting of lectures, and practical exercises in accordance with approved programs of instruction using lesson plans, technical manuals and interactive electronic technical manuals, student guides, handouts, practical exercise worksheets, and both written and hands-on evaluations - Writes and files detailed reports that summarize training event conduct and suggested improvements to the course materials, training aids, etc - Performs preventive maintenance checks and services on government furnished equipment in accordance with approved technical manual procedures - Trains, mentors, and evaluates the training conduct performance of junior military trainers and documents these evaluations in accordance with the Instructor Standards and Development Program - Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by management HUNTSALMSTR

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: - 6 years experience with Bachelor's Degree; 4 years experience with Master's Degree; 10 years experience in lieu of a college degree will be considered.- Documented experience with operating/maintaining AMDWS in the ADA environment- Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision- Strong desire to learn, contribute, and move forward- Current active Department of Defense Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
- Military Veteran with service as an NCO (14G), Warrant (140A), or Officer (14A)- Certified Military AMDWS Instructor/Writer- Seven or more years of documented experience operating/maintaining/supervising ADA systems; deployed experience is a plus- Direct experience supporting and/or attending training associated with the AMDWS and/or its associated systems- Experience working with embedded training systems- Experience with military academic instruction at the individual and collective levels Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
