Summary: The Junior/Intermediate Network Specialist will provide ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems and maintenance.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
  • Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts
  • Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms
  • Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards
  • Enforces network security procedures

Supervisory Responsibilities: NONE
 
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 + Years’ experience, to include;
    • 3+ years’ experience with ARISTA (Cisco) data switching networks, network administration
    • 3+ years’ experience with Windows Server Update Service
    • Experience with Software Defined Networking principles and protocols Openstack Neutron, APIC, Openflow, etc.
    • Experience with network automation and programming using tools/languages such as SED, AWK, Python, Perl, etc
  • Secret Clearance required
