The SharePoint System Administrator will provide support in the installation, documentation, optimization, architecture, and upgrading of SharePoint capabilities across multiple networks in support of the customers web infrastructure. These networks will vary in classification level, certification requirements and size.
Provide Microsoft SharePoint 2013 administrative support for a large customer within the DoD community. The Administrator will be tasked with assisting in the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 architectures.
System Administration Tasks will include configuration, checks, and remedy of issues related to:
AD Sync status; SQL Jobs (Backup, Portfolio, other scripts); Windows Scheduler jobs; Windows Event logs reviews for errors & warnings; Backups (SQL, Template, SharePoint, IIS); SharePoint Sites and Usage Analysis.
User provisioning and management is also required.
Plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off-peak time as required and communicate any downtime to business.
Deploy new capabilities including Web Parts, Features and Console Applications to the SharePoint Servers.
Troubleshoot operational issues that may arise in the SharePoint environment.
Work with a dispersed team of systems administrators, engineers, managers, and customers. Administrator will perform duties on a normal business day schedule with some flexibility for start time. Administrator may be assigned to a location remote from the server facility.
Qualified candidate will have 3-5 years experience in configuration and administration of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 server infrastructure.
SharePoint 2013 certification required within 6 months of start date
Extensive workflow development using out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities and/or SharePoint Designer
Prior experience supporting Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
Prior experience administering Windows Servers, Active Director including Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), DNS, SMTP, Network Load Balancing, Windows Firewall, Event Viewer and Performance Monitoring and Powershell scripting
Prior experience implementing search services across a large SharePoint farm
Prior exposure to SnapManager or AvePoint DocAve products
Proven ability to participate in the analysis of IT and business issues
Candidate must be able to articulate problems and resolution, in both verbal and written forms.
Proven experience must indicate a record of information security awareness and discipline in systems administration.
DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications required
Experience with SharePoint in the US Army unclassified network or DoD environment highly desired
Experience in .NET Framework and C#
Knowledge of the SharePoint App Model/Add In Model and SharePoint Framework
Experience using Visual Studio to develop custom web parts and features
Experience using project management tools e.g. MS Project and JIRA
Understanding of agile and waterfall software development models
CompTIA Security+ certification is desired
Required Education and Clearance:
B.S. in information systems related major or 4 years equivalent experience required. Desired relevant certifications in one or more of the following: MCP; MCSA; MCSE; MCTS
