DSA Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer. This is a full time position at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX.
The selected candidate will provide Software Engineering support to assist AETC/A5T in an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)/DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF) based organization supporting a large Air Education and Training Command system.
The Software Engineer will be part of a team employing agile based SDLC, supporting a complex enterprise .Net based web application. This role will be responsible for design and development of application and data components of information systems, and will need to leverage existing system operations as well as defined system requirements.
They will be responsible for coding specific core components, including following common software development patterns. They will work with the project lead and other team members to analyze system requirements, plan patterns / development deliverables, and perform task estimation. Will need to work as a team to establish needed changes to system architecture, and effectively communicate when designing / implementing solutions.
The selected candidate(s) will provide Software Engineering support to assist AETC/A5T in support of a major Air Force Service serving the needs of Airmen throughout the world. They will be joining an Agile team where they will directly influence system delivery, and be able to implement best practice techniques for system development.
Minimum knowledge, skill and abilities:
Five plus (5+) years hands-on experience developing Web based applications leveraging C#, ASP.Net.
Experience writing unit tests to provide code coverage for own code.
Knowledge of Database technology (SQL Server, Oracle), including stored procedures and indexes.
Experience delivering medium to large complexity enterprise solutions leveraging the .Net framework, and interacting with large databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Demonstrated experience with ground-up system development (end-to-end system development), as well as - support of live production systems.
Additional knowledge, skill, and abilities:
Familiar with software development methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Waterfall).
Knowledge of Systems Security technology.
Experience with Test Driven Development.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Passionate about product quality
Highly detail oriented and accurate
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Logical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting of complex systems
Duties and responsibilities are at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with variable/flex hours available based on the customer's requirements.
