The individual will provide program support to the senior leadership of a Navy Program Management Office responsible for Navy UHF SATCOM. Apply knowledge of DoD and Navy program management processes to support clients in the analysis and execution of acquisition and contract processes, policies and procedures. Support strategic planning activities. Proactively identify efficiencies and improvements, analyze options, recommend alternative solutions and assist with implementation. Assist with responses to various data calls related to Navy sponsored projects. Assist with drafting, creation and publishing of stakeholder engagement briefings, including PowerPoint, and Word documents. Manipulate, extract, and update data and information in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Participate actively in planning, coordinating and conducting meetings. Identify program communications needs through feedback and an understanding of the audience, and advise the client in matters relating to communication effectiveness and delivery techniques that enhance their efforts. Prepare clients, and present strategic recommendations for events including relevant background material. Apply excellent oral and written communication skills that reflect an ability to clarify complicated issues, transform technical subject matter into accessible and compelling copy, and target messages for diverse audiences. Monitor and assist with the management of project activities to mitigate risk throughout the project life cycle. Recommend risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving acquisition and program planning, control, and execution. Provide direct support to clients on a day-to-day basis and communicate status/updates. Perform other duties, as required.
Candidate to provide acquisition and program management support to the PMW 146 PAPM/COR in a DoD/Navy program office. Individual will serve as an acquisition subject matter expert and assist with development of proposal, contract and program-level documentation and briefings.
DAWIA Level III Program Management Certification or industry equivalent is desired.
