This position is a key position leading a team on a major program supporting aerostat systems both CONUS and OCONUS and shall participate in local command meetings and requirement discussions, which includes, but is not limited to, presenting briefings on ongoing project activities, operational status, and system capabilities. This position shall report to PD Aerostats during a daily call and email regarding the current combat posture and priorities, system activities and site configurations, as well as any new theater directives or policies, and provide recommendations to support U.S. Force's requirements. This position shall assist Government and military operational units as they develop and process theater required documentation packages to obtain materials and resources for site preparation, crew support, and site protection. This position shall assist PD Aerostats in arranging Government housing and food for incoming and outgoing PD Aerostats systems crews and operator/maintainer teams in accordance with (IAW) Army Field Support Brigade procedures. This position shall assist the Government in coordinating the transportation of PD Aerostats systems and crews at airfields, arrange temporary storage for systems if required. This position shall assist with host nation efforts to support PD Aerostats systems in theater, including the use of host nation assets (such as equipment and facilities) when U.S. Government assets are not available. This position shall provide expertise and assist military units, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition Logistics and Technology) representatives, and commanders regarding PD Aerostats systems in support of the development of fragmentary orders, and standard operational procedures.
* Possess Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). * Five (5) years of hands-on experience supporting military operations. * Three (3) years of operations with any aerostat larger than 20 meters in length. * Liaison with theater command staff for all program-related questions from and correspondence to theater command-level staff/elements, and provide operational briefings and status updates to address theater objectives and issues. * Assist in operations, sustainment, fielding, and drawdown of aerostats systems greater than 20 meters in length. * Assist theater safety offices, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) staff, signal activities, and force protection offices as required. * Track regional center (RC) program issues and information requests. * Assist with all theater funding actions to include, joint acquisition review boards and coalition acquisition review boards. * Coordinate the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) processes and obtaining materials and resources for site support.
