Seeking Network Engineering for our Albuquerque, NM effort. Direct interface and coordination with Network Engineering Team, Systems Administrators, Project Leads, and Operations and Sustainment personnel for delivery and completion of tasks on-schedule. Responsible for sustainment, maintenance, configuration management, and enhancement of existing network systems and design, installation, configuration, and testing of new network systems.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Secret Clearance is required.
Experience with one or more of the following: routers and switches, firewalls and IDP/IPS, TCP/IP fundamentals, networking (LAN/WAN).
CCNA or CCNP
CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Network+
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
Bachelor's degree in science and technology related programs such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, etc.
Experience with HP, Dell, IBM server platforms;
Knowledge of MS Windows Server 2008/2012 Active Directory;
Working knowledge of programming languages such as Perl, C++ and Java desired, but not required;
Security + certification;
Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP fundamentals, and networking (LAN/WAN) design principles;
Understanding of IP protocols; these skills must include: TCP/IP-based services (i.e. DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, etc);
IP addressing/subnetting and routing principles (ie. RIP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, etc): IPv6/IPSec protocols (ie. SSL, TLS, SSH); network (LAN/WAN) design principles Understanding of Layer 2 protocols, including ATM, Frame Relay, DS0-DS3, OC3-OC192, PPP and HDLC;
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio;
Ability to lift, carry and move components of PC workstations, servers, network equipment, peripherals, and other ancillary equipment.
