Apex Systems, the Nation's 2nd largest staffing firm, has a need for a Desktop Support Technician opportunity working for a reputable leader in the IT industry. This Desktop Support Technician will have excellent customer service, at least 1-2 years of desktop support experience, and will be a vital part of a high profile team.
Position: Desktop Support
Pay Rate: $18-$21/hr
Location: Aurora, CO
Duration: Long term on-going contract
Perform trouble shooting, parts replacement, repairs, system upgrades, configurations, and deployments of client assets
Provide remote diagnostic and technical support for in campus/remote locations
Based on knowledge of networks and IP-based devices, determine root cause of equipment failure (network, software, hardware issue, etc.)
Assist local and remote end users in troubleshooting complex hardware and software problems, network communication and connectivity issues
Ensure effective customer support through onsite presence and remote access
Identify potential issues that could adversely impact Client End User and/or entire operation at a given site
Enter, update, and close incidents in Remedy and HEAT ticketing systems
Update and maintain Remedy Asset Management system
Deploy software packages through System Center Configuration Manager Console
As a certified Dell Service Technician, I diagnose and perform in-house warranty repairs of Dell Laptops and Desktops
Escalate extensive technical problems to the project team as needed. Perform other duties as assigned
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of the fundamentals of network and server/desktop administration, installations, upgrades, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
