Osborne Computer Services, Inc. (OZ) is a Cleared Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that has been in the business of supporting the DoD/Federal Government since 1996. OZ provides a wide range of timely and affordable Information Technology support services across multiple hardware, software and operating system platforms. This support includes: Network and System Administration, System Analysis, Computer and Network Security, Certification and Accreditation, Hardware and Software Inventory Management, Product Procurement Analysis and support of OS platforms such as Linux, Solaris, IRIX, Windows Server 2008/2012 and Windows 7/10. OZ also provides support of high performance computing solutions such as SGI ICE clusters, Beowulf Clusters and Grid Computing Clusters utilizing unique scheduling software like Oracle Grid Engine (OGE), Sun Grid Engine (SGE), Moab and Torque.

Applicant must be an US Citizen with either an active TS-clearance or at a minimum of a Secret clearance. If only a Secret clearance, applicant must be able to attain and maintain a TS within 12 months. A military background or working with military/DoD would be a plus. DoD 8570 Certification is required of all authorized administrators of a DoD Information System. The Job location is at the Pentagon, hours of operation 7a.m.-5p.m with a 40 hour work week. It is a full-time position or a contract-to-hire with a probationary period.


Windows based System Administration (Mid-Level) -Required
• Hands-on experience working with Windows Servers
• Good understanding of Active Directory
• Good understanding of DNS
• Understanding of DHCP
• Ability to perform day-to-day duties and responsibilities entailed with general System Admin functions
• Ability to identify problems and take corrective action to recover from system failures

VMWare 5.x – 6.x (Mid-Level) - Required
• Hands-on experience using VMWare/VCenter Server
• Hands-on experience working in a virtual environment
• Ability to troubleshoot VMware failures
• Hands-on experience using VUM
• Knowledge of HA, DRS, etc…

Windows/Linux Desktop Client Support (Mid-Level) - Required
• Must know how to install and configure IT equipment
• Must know how to troubleshoot hardware/software issues
• Must have ability interfacing with users of various levels of experience
• Respond to incoming support requests. Has the ability to investigate and analyze the cause of the customer technical issues and provide a solution as well.

Windows Software Update Services (WSUS) – Desired (plus)
• Knowledge of WSUS
• How to manage WSUS clients in an isolated environment
• How to configure and install WSUS
• How to patch clients
• Ability to administer WSUS
• Basic understanding of how to troubleshoot WSUS

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) – Desired (plus)
• Understanding of SCCM and how to manage clients
• How to manage Configure Manager Clients
• Experience creating batch files and vbscripts
• Experience with O.S. Deployments using SCCM tools

Microsoft SQL Server Administration (2008 – 2012) – Desired (plus)
• Basic knowledge of SQL Administration
• How to create and manage SQL users
• Understanding of SQL Backup and Restore process

Linux System Administration – Desired (plus)
• Experience working in a Linux/UNIX environment (currently Red-Hat/Susie)
• Understanding of Linux scripting
• Patching and troubleshooting experience
• User management

Symantec NetBackup – Desired (plus)
• Hands-on experience working with NetBackup
• Knowledge of the NetBackup Recovery process
• Ability to troubleshoot and configure NetBackup policies
• Ability to troubleshoot backup failures

HP Blade Servers & SANs – Desired (plus)
• Hands-on experience working with physical servers and SANs
• Hands-on experience deploying servers
• Experience troubleshooting HP Servers and SANs
