Job Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates and monitors sensitive aspects of the DOD, DOE, or other industrial security program, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Protects classified government information and publishes security awareness for all cleared corporate personnel. Develops and implements security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel. Furnishes security advice and guidance to off-site company security staff to ensure compliance with prescribed regulations and procedures. Monitors and conducts security briefings and security education programs. Investigates or oversees the investigation of losses and security violations and recommends corrective action. Maintains liaison with outside agencies and keeps upper management informed of all security activities. Develops procedures and coordinates procedure manual revisions. May provide work Leadership for lower level employees. Assist the Agency in implementing the Security Education Training and Awareness Program.
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five or more years of related experience, or ten years of experience in lieu of degree. Must have the capability and demonstrated successful experience in performing information and industrial security activities including, but not limited to, Special Security Agreements, Voting Trusts, Proxy Agreements, DD 254 Contract Security Classification Specifications, National Interest Determinations (NIDs), and Manual Declassification review processes. Core Responsibilities: 1) Develop briefings, write scripts, develop charts/graphics for use during NISPOM and DoD required training. 2) Develop and distribute program classified briefings (indoctrinations and updates). 3) Distribute security awareness products electronically. 4) Conduct training needs analysis. 5) Prepare and publish an annual Agency security awareness training plan, short term goals, and long-term goals, update as required. 6) Write quarterly security awareness newsletters for the Agency employee population. 7) Develop, review, and produce security awareness products that reflect adverse security trends. 8) Write training plans for quarterly awareness training and specific training modules, update as required. 9) Support DSS Academy's security awareness products web site and security professionalism initiative. 10) Liaise with the DSS Academy. 1l) Develop security education, training, and awareness products and conduct newcomer training. 12) Review, analyze, and provide input for new or updated DoD security manuals, directives, regulations, instructions, and other policy documentation. 13) Manage the Agency’s learning management system (LMS) and develop, present, and track security education, training, and awareness products consistent with current DoD computer based training requirements. 14) Assist in the development and maintenance of a security education products web site. 15) Write special reports of security topics of interest. 16) Schedule, convene, conduct, and participate in miscellaneous meetings discussions with other service or Agency security educators (DSS, Navy, etc.). 17) Coordinate, track, and schedule personnel to attend off-site training.
