Job Title: Senior End User Support/Systems Administrator

Location: Cherry Point, NC

Status: Full Time, Exempt

Minimum Government Security Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret

Program: The Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), DLA Information Operations Stakeholder Integrated Services, Customer Support and Readiness (J-63A), has a requirement to provide Enterprise IT Helpdesk and Desktop level End User Support functions for the Central-Southern regions of the US. End User IT support services may include on-site hardware, software, and technical IT Incident Management support to augment existing government IT support personnel located at geographically dispersed sites throughout the Central-Southern regions of the US. The DLA is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) agency that provides worldwide logistics support for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant under conditions of peace and war.

Primary Responsibilities: Ideal candidate will possess:
Five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two projects in technical areas included in the Performance Work Statement. At least one project shall have occurred within the past three (3) years.
Ability to prove oversight and/or hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software problems related to desktop computers, print servers, scanners, printers, PDAs (Blackberries), desktop video/video teleconference systems, and peripherals (zip drives, external zips, scanners, etc.).
Ability to provide oversight and/or hands-on hardware maintenance such as board replacement, cable switching, communications assistance, and hardware installation and replacement.
Demonstrated knowledge and accomplishment in analyzing, diagnosing and recommending solutions for hardware and software problems.
Expertise to install and support workstation hardware and software, to include depot-unique items.


Requirements:
MCITP Windows 7, MCSA Windows 8 Preferred, Must be able to obtain Windows 10 Certification within 6 Months
MCSA 2008 and/or above.
Must meet DOD 8570, IAT Level II Certification Requirements: Security + CE, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, CASP CE, or CISSP
Commensurate with technology curriculums - Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline or MCSE and 5 years System Administration Experience, MCSE is Preferred. or Associate's degree in appropriate discipline and MCSE certification. If candidate does not have an AS degree or MCSE certification, at least 5 years of experience in system administration or Tier 2 IT Helpdesk is required and must have been obtained within the last six years.
Network+ certification or any approved certification demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networked environment.
Security+ certification or any approved certification demonstrating working knowledge and understanding of applying basic security principles to the computing environment (CE).
Certified knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and knowledge of applications, System Management Software, Microsoft's Active Directory (AD) as related to integration of desktop systems into AD, and all aspects of Windows security to include any subsequent software releases/upgrades.
Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders. Direct BMC Remedy Experience Preferred.
Knowledge of IBM's Customer Information Control System (CICS) and Virtual Telecommunications Access Method Printer Support System (VPS) to restart printers and printer output.
Understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications and MS Office; to include any subsequent releases/upgrades.

Individual must be proficient in reading and capable of communicating effectively in English. Must be a U.S. citizen. Department of Defense Secret Clearance required. Familiarity with military networks and systems and/or relevant military background is desired. Travel both OCONUS and CONUS should be expected.
