Senior Radar Engineer/Scientist

The Senior Radar Engineer/Scientist position is located in Beavercreek, Ohio and will support efforts at WPAFB.

The Senior Radar Engineer/Scientist collects, processes, simulates, and analyzes Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) high-quality signatures. Utilizes modeling and simulation tools for producing, analyzing and disseminating Radar Cross Section (RCS), High Range Resolution (HRR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR), Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR), and Interferometric Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFISAR) radar signatures. Researches, develops, prototypes, tests, models and evaluates new Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI) capabilities in support of a variety of intelligence community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers at WPAFB, Dayton, Ohio. Applies results to challenging, real-word problems.

Job Duties:  

o Research, develop, prototype, and test high-quality SAR signatures
o Target/CAD modeling
o Sensor calibration
o Exploitation of SAR AGI data for IC and DoD customers
o Prepare and present briefings

Required Qualifications:  

o US Citizen, as contract requires
o Doctor of Philosophy or Masters of Science in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Physics, Mathematics, or similar STEM field
o Training/certification in RADAR/SAR technology
o Minimum 10 years' experience processing RADAR/SAR data
o Minimum 5 years' experience providing support to IC and DoD customers
o Proficiency, expertise and experience with SAR data files and SAR analysis tools such as CASE Executive, SOCET GXP, X-Midas
o Ability to work independently and in a team environment
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Strong technical writing and briefing skills
