Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineering Manager

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Multi-Disciplined Engineer to join our team in support of US Army’s Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) for the Army Landing Craft Utility 2000 (LCU 2000).The LCU 2000 Watercraft has been in service since 1990. The vessel was originally designed with an as-built service life of 25 years (2015). The purpose of this program is to combine SLEP and OCCM to minimize the vessels downtime while extending the vessels service life for an additional 10 years. The work effort will include overall project management oversight and execution of three key focus areas:
1.1.SLEP engineering design
2.Shipboard production (modifications/maintenance) and logistics
3.Execution of logistics management information and equipment training

This task requires Shipyard teaming in the Norfolk, VA or South Carolina areas in Phase “1”, and Internationally in Phase “2”

We are seeking a Principal Multi-Disciplined Engineer to join the LCU 2000 SLEP team. As a Principal Multi-Disciplined Engineer, the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager will work collaboratively with the Technical Subcontract Manager (TSM) for the management of the training and portions of the maintenance planning as well as be responsible for managing / execution of ILS elements and tasks including development of an Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP).

Required Skills:

The Principal Multi-Disciplined Engineer candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience that includes the following competencies:

· Planning, organizing coordinating, integration, execution and managing all logistics tasks

· Professional individual who is able to coordinate and interface effectively at all levels of the organization across a multi defense contractor and government workforce

· Experience in providing technical direction to Integrated Product Team members (IPTs)

· Experience analyzing and resolving logistics problems relating to operational considerations

· Knowledgeable in the execution and implementation of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and design for sustainment concepts

· Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines

· Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner with attention to detail and thoroughness

· Proficient use of Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint).

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must possess sufficient professional competence to operate independently within a broad scope of authority and with minimal supervision

· Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS to provide support and execution

· Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to generate Basis of Estimates (BOE)s; certified BOE writer
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

· Experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support, to include: logistics management principles, practices, and processes

· Technical Subcontractor Manager (TSM) (or ability to obtain w/in reasonable time period)

· Experience working with US Army Watercraft customer

· Experience with conducting trade studies

· Proficient in current versions of project planning/management tools and techniques, risk management and earned value management principles including EVMS

· Certified BOE writer

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s Degree in Technical discipline and 8 years of directly related logistics planning/supportability experience. Advanced degree and 6 years or equivalent experience
