Network Administrator II - Cannon AFB

This position supports the daily operations of an Air Force Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Operations Center. This is an information technology support position maintaining voice, data, LAN/WAN communications systems. This position will also include installation of IT equipment, modification of and testing of new equipment and the conversion of existing equipment from one facility to another facility.
Primary responsibility is to provide 24/7/365 network support consisting of integration, engineering, operations and maintenance of the communication systems to a Predator Operations Center and to assist technical solutions to real-time issues under supervision of a manager and possibly as a shift lead or independently when needed. Assist with install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices, supports administration of servers and server clusters, manages all system back-up and restore protocol, plans and supports network and computing infrastructure, monitors system performance and implements performance tuning, requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials and network security.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years related experience.
Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must hold a current CompTIA Security+ certification required by DODD 8570.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must have a current DOD TS/SCI
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience designing, building and changing both IP and ATM networks is required.
Experience with IP/ATM networks consisting of Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Ericsson/Marconi ATM switches, lead and direct configuration changes, system maintenance and provide guidance and troubleshoot problems.
Familiar with the Cisco IOS, IP routing protocols, Ericsson/Marconi switch software, ATM protocols and ATM test equipment.
C4ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) experience desired.
