Northrop Grumman is currently seeking AWACS Radar Engineers, AWACS Structural Engineers, AWACS Radar Technicians. Structural Engineer: This position is located in Saudi Arabia. This is an unaccompanied position. The position requires the ability to perform evaluations and studies in the field of 707 structures and systems engineering. The work emanates from the RSAF Director of Engineering thru the Engineering Authority Manager. The selected candidate reviews and recommends RSAF authorizations of systems engineering modifications and will progress approval of improvement through external design organizations and technical authorities. Must be able to design repairs for damage within the scope of the published Technical Orders (T.O.), MILSPEC and industry standards to produce detailed drawings to accomplish those repairs. Will need to provide advice and prepare guidelines on engineering matters when direction is not clear. Must be able to identify the tools, equipment, spares and methodology to effect repairs. Will be designing support equipment such as transport dollies, stands and racks for local manufacture. Will be writing, designing and editing standard repair procedures, plus designing and supervising embodiment of aircraft and equipment modifications. Must have practical knowledge of workshop practices and procedures and the ability to advise technicians in the correct techniques to be utilized in carrying out repairs. Needs to perform stress analysis to substantiate integrity of repaired structure. Must be able to train Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) counterparts. Will assist and train RSAF staff in the development and operation of aircraft damage recovery and engineering programs. This position plays an active part in the RSAF self-sufficiency program by participating in the establishment of a training program for RSAF personnel, including on-the-job training and the preparation of teaching materials for training courses in engineering functions. Must be able to carry out damage assessments on aircraft following incidents and be able to produce reports of the investigation findings to the Royal Saudi Air Force. Some travel may be required.
