Are you ready for the next step? Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a highly skilled Pashto Language Analyst wo have excellent translation skills. Familiarity with the IC SIGINT experience required. The candidate must be able to render transcription and translation into standard idiomatic American English. Candidate will perform analysis, fusion, and reporting of intelligence data. Senior Lanaguge Analysts will be able to perform as quality controllers for their peers and junior linguist. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cyber Intelligence Division and will be located Fort Meade, Maryland Roles and Responsibilities: As a member of a team of linguists/analysts, the Pashto Linguist will be responsible for the processing of Pashto language material (both voice and graphic), reporting, and research, development and maintenance of information that further the goals and objectives of the team. Responsibilities include processing Pashto language material both orally and written, generate reports predicated on Pashto language material and fused with information obtained from other sources. In addition, the Pashto Linguist will be required to perform research on a variety of subjects as they relate to Pashto and to generate reports based on research. Required to learn and use existing computer based technologies for target development, automated report generating and computer language processing tools.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma and 9 years of related experience is required
* Language proficiency test score of 2/2 on DLPT V or equivalent test is required with valid scores within the past year.
* Prior US Armed Forces uniformed service in Afghanistan or elsewhere in Southwest Asia required.
* Experience with SIGINT, transcription, translation, interpreting and other language related
* Professional proficiency in written and spoken Pashto.
* Demonstrated proficiency with Pashto voice and graphic language test scores, and have excellent researching, SIGINT experience, proficiency writing analytical reports and able to brief senior analyst.
* TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Preferred Qualifications:
* DLPT level 3/3 or equivalent or Native level proficiency.
* Individuals with a working knowledge of other regional languages
* Familiarity with Content Preparation Environment (CPE)
