Our client, a leading technology company, is in need of a Pre-Sales Engineer for a full time opportunity located in Maclean, VA. The Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for working with the sales team with the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions. The PSE (pre-sales engineer) will also be responsible for making technical and sales presentations to customer’s technical staff and senior management, as well as assisting with the development of technical responses to customer requests, proposals, answering technical questions and removing objections that arise in our client’s sales campaigns.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist sales team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies, produce account specific product, services and sales plans.
- Leverage knowledge of competitive solutions (VMware, EMC Storage and Networking) to effectively address and dispel customer objections to our client’s core technology solutions.
- Configures and documents client software, hardware and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years experience in a Pre-Sales Engineering role.
- Technical (hands on engineering) and sales experience with 2 of the following
o VMWare, specifically VSphere, Vcenter, etc.
o Storage, specifically VMAX, Clariion, Nas, etc.
o Networking, specifically with Nexus 5000, 7000 and / or 1000v routing and switching, Firewall, etc.
- Must have at least a Secret Clearance, however, a Top Secret Clearance is preferred.
- Customer facing experience a must.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent documentation skills required.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with any Federal / Government entities.
- Any VMware, Cisco and / or EMC storage certifications highly desirable.
- Any Cloud Certifications highly desirable.
