Qualifications Position Description: Primary role is to serve as a single-point-of-contact for all technical issues related to manufacturing of a product or family of related products (assembly, fabrication and machining). Duties include, but are not limited to: direct technical manufacturing floor support; preparing manufacturing cost estimates; developing, implementing and improving manufacturing process plans for all product designs that are planned for in-house manufacturing; compiling and leading production readiness reviews; developing process documentation and work instructions; analysis of process yield data to determine root cause and corrective actions; developing, recommending and implementing process and producibility enhancements, product quality improvements and cost reductions. Successful candidate will work closely with Design Engineering, Mission Assurance, Production/Material Control, IPT Leads, Manufacturing Supervision and hourly personnel.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline. Minimum 10 years direct experience in Manufacturing Engineering discipline with concentration on production process planning for complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, fabrication and integration. Candidate must have in-depth knowledge in tool design, tool fabrication and precision machining, utilizing manual as well as computer-controlled numerical machines. Candidate must have working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 and be familiar with clean room operation and protocol. The applicant needs strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office and MS Projects and must be a highly-motivated, self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills. Selected applicant will be subjected to security investigation and must meet all the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An active DOD Secret Clearance is required.
