Candidate will work as part of dynamic team that includes experts in their fields. Specific duties include:
* Primarily responsible for the control, configuration, operation, integration, test, support, and documentation of a subsystem comprised of a Juniper switch and controller software in C++.
* Develop criteria and tools to monitor health and performance of a Juniper switch.
* Adhere to accepted standards for development, including participating in design reviews, and generating test strategies to ensure maximum stability and quality of code.
* Provide Tier II support to operations.
* Candidates must have good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree plus minimum nine years experience in a technical role related to maintaining, administrating, and trouble-shooting networks, hardware, and software. Additional applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* Proficiency in Linux
* Programming skills in C/C++* Familiarity with switches, routers, and network devices and their configuration
* Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, MPLS, Ethernet
* Creating test and diagnostic scenarios
* Providing Tier II support as part of a development team
* Evaluate operational systems versus known performance baseline
* Familiarity with system software build/release framework (make-based) Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of SIGINT mission systems
