Northrop Grumman Information Systems, a leading global provider of advanced solutions for its military, intelligence, civilian, state, local, and commercial customers, is currently seeking a talented software developer to join our team. The selected candidate with utilized agile development methodologies to create custom software, which will solve unique foreign and domestic security challenges The selected candidate with also be responsible for: - Partnering closely with a program delivery team and customers to implement system testing for a newly created/initiated program - Stakeholders will consist of developers, systems engineers, and database analysts, to produce test cases and scripts for the systems functional, operation, and benchmark tests - Performing within an agile environment with 90 day spin cycles and two week iterations - Utilizing all members of this highly collaborative team, to resolve testability and other various software and system related issues - Creating a data repository and associated systems to facilitate data mining and pre-processing of data into usable analysis format - Executing system testing as required to verify system feature implementation and data validity - Producing test results and coinciding documentation - Validating system builds - Assisting with the configuration of system test beds
The candidate must possess the following skills and abilities to be qualified for this position: - Bachelor's Degree in related field or relevant work experience - Additional applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree - 5 years of previous software engineering experience - Previous experience working with system engineers to develop operational and functional system test cases - Prior experience working with a requirements team to ensure requirements testability - Experience working in an agile software development environment - Experience with relational databases - Shell scripting and task automation
