Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems. Job responsibilities to include: Using Visio and/or other drawing/CAD software product to capture electrical circuit designs, produce sub-assembly and top assembly sketches, and create complete cable fabrication sketches. Perform Printed Circuit Board layout from captured schematics, produce a complete documentation package, and work with PCB fabrication vendors. Work with the Drafting to convert sketches into formal drawings as required. Develop Bills of Materials for products in development; work with procurement specialists to order all materials and components, receive, stock and kit. Perform electrical/mechanical assembly of consoles and equipment racks, sub-assemblies, chassis, cables, etc. Perform electrical continuity testing of circuits and cables. Perform Hi-pot and/or insulation resistance testing of cable assemblies. Manage the electrical assembly lab. Manage test equipment. Coordinate tool certification. Hazardous materials/chemicals cabinet content and compliance. Min 5 years experience. Must have BS in Mechanical Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Must US citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance.
