Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems sector is seeking a Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Woodland Hills, CA. The Woodland Hills campus is situated on over 50 acres, has an on-site cafeteria, softball field, basketball courts, and offers a friendly work environment. In addition, this site follows an alternative, 9/80 workweek schedule for most positions. Situational Awareness Systems (SAS) business unit seeks an innovative Program Manager (PM) with a strong technical background in weapons systems development for leading edge rotary wing integrated avionics systems. The PM will lead a multi-disciplinary team for development and production activities in support of USMC and US Army helicopter systems. The engineering non-recurring scope of work includes mission computer design and development, avionics (glass cockpit) systems, software, integration and test activities. The PM will be responsible for production recurring efforts including integrated avionics build and test, to include in-house production of electronic systems and subsytems. General PM responsibilities are: Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
1. Qualified Program Manager responsible for NRE programs larger than $30M per year ( or $150M total). 2. Business education- MBA, or equivalent. 3. Bachelors degree in technical subject, preferably Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Preferred customer experience base is USMC rotary/fixed wing experience. In depth knowledge and interface experience within USMC command structure is preferable. 2. Management of large software development programs, including real-time Operating System implementations. 3. Exposure to the full lifecycle of weapons system development, including flight test, Opeval, transitions through LRIP to full-rate production. 4. Masters degree in Engineering or technical subject -----------------------------------
