Required:
- US Citizen
- SECRET clearance
- Certified as one of the following (provide documented proof):
Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
Successfully graduated from a FAC(A) course of instruction
Successfully completed a CAS program as a combat ready fighter/attack
pilot
Army MOS 13F or Naval Surface Fire Support (must be a graduate of the
JFO Course)
- At least 3 years of experience since December 31, 2000 in one of the above or 1 year operationally deployed experience.
- Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or equivalent (must attend ABIC prior to instructing students).
- Significant joint fires experience
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Duties:
JFOC Instructor will instruct and evaluate students on JTAC and Joint Fire Observer (JFO) tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). The JFOC Instructor will ensure that the Program of Instruction (POI) and lesson plans are relevant and current with operational needs and recommend input. The JFOC Instructor will also operate the Call For Fire Trainer as part of the Program of Instruction. Some travel (TDY) will be required.
