Performs complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules. A SAP ABAP Programmer applies advanced technical knowledge in the programming, testing, and debugging of SAP modules. Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming is a critical component of the position. A Senior Programmer Analyst performs systems analysis, design, and programming duties involving highly complex computer applications and programs; and provides technical direction to programming personnel on a project-by-project basis. A Supervising Systems and Programming Analyst is responsible for supervising the work of a small group of programming personnel, provides liaison with operating units affected by studies, and personally performs the most difficult systems analysis, design, and programming work of the unit.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of recent, full-time, paid experience in SAP ABAP programming. Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD/Years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a "Public Trust" clearance KNOWLEDGE OF: SAP ABAP Programming Tools including Report and Transaction creation, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversion Programs, SAPscript, and Smart Forms ALE, XI(Preferred) Application of OSS notes SAP ASAP methodology Principles and techniques of systems analysis, design and testing Principles of program documentation Principles of report, screen, and form design ABILITY TO: Develop and code difficult and complex programs for SAP modules Develop test data and analyze problems in programs Recognize the critical elements of application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing Write clear, logical reports, and instructions Write clear and logical program documentation Work effectively and independently on assigned projects Code SAP modules and complex functions using ABAP programming language. Create specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming language. Design forms for SAP modules using SAPscript. Troubleshoot and correct SAP module problems by using ABAP programming language to implement OSS notes. Modify system screens to provide default values and eliminate unnecessary fields using transaction variants. Interface with business analysts to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures to information technology. Assist in defining technical requirements for on-going systems maintenance and future functionality. Provide technical support to users on matters related to the programming of SAP modules. Prepare comprehensive and thorough technical program documentation including specifications, test conditions, test plans, test data, etc. Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners. Perform related duties as assigned.
