The DHS Business Developer Lead will manage client interaction with DHS, facilitate teaming decisions, and lead marketing and new business development efforts for SRA to principal DHS agencies, including HQ, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Immigration Services (CIS), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The ability to understand agency mission and requirements of the Department of Homeland Security is essential to success in this role and to:

- Serve as key member of the DHS business development and capture team; develop DHS strategic direction and account strategies
- Analyze customer budgets, requirements and trends from integrator and IT service provider perspective with a focus on obtaining new business
- Identify and drive opportunities through the business acquisition process from identification to award
- Qualify and close IDIQ and single award opportunities that meet both long and short-term budget goals
- Support SRA's competitive capabilities to key customers
- Coordinates and exchanges information and leads with managers and other personnel, and
- Participate in DHS proposal development

Required: Basic Qualifications The DHS BD Lead should have strong contacts within the DHS market and should be able to demonstrate understanding of the DHS competitive environment, and must be knowledgeable in issues that affect the DHS community.

- 7-10 years BD experience with a focus in DHS
- Manage multiple business initiatives in growth environment
- Experience writing or responding to RFI's RFP's and Task order proposals
- Proven experience formulating capture strategies and developing account plans for DHS
- Detailed knowledge of Federal procurement process, and demonstrated understanding of contract vehicles specific to DHS
- Demostrate a working knowledge of BD lead identification and BD processes leading to capture of Federal Government business.
- Demonstrated multitasking, planning, follow-up and closing skills

- Secret or Top Secret Clearance a plus
- A record of winning experience leading and supporting business development efforts, proposals for task orders, proposal writing, capture, and new business development within DHS.
- Proven exceptional client relationship management skills and experience at DHS
- Ability to work closely with and provide support to senior management in negotiations, risk assessments, and BD initiatives in a medium to large size organization.
- Ability to develop business relationships through professional, business and customer networking events.
- Ability to leverage existing contract vehicles and client relationships to exploit market penetration in current and new markets.
