Northrop Grumman Information System is looking for a qualified HP Open View (HPOV) Administrator to support the MDA Network Operations and Security Center (MDA NOSC) on the JRDC contract at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's joint National Integration Center research and Development contract (JRDC)..
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Primary emphasis is with Operations Manager for Windows (OMW) and Network Node Manager (NNM) * Member of the HP OpenView team to perform HP OpenView production operations and maintenance, build, and test, with Operations Manager for Windows (OMW) and Network Node Manager (NNM) * Deploy and maintain discovery jobs; troubleshooting access or scripting errors as needed
* Install and troubleshoot Operations Agents (OVO) on Windows and UNIX servers
* Configure extended topology database and container views.Add, remove, manage, and un-manage nodes and interfaces
* Install and configure MIBs
* Install and configure the iSPI for Performance Insight
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* A Bachelors degree in an IT related field and at least 6 years of experience with HP Open View applications and various modules for a total of 8 years experience
* Years of experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree
* The successful candidate will provide design input, operational support, user support, and planning function to this critical application for stability, optimal performance, and integration with other tools
* Candidate must have Security+. Team skills are a must
* Willingness and flexibility to provide occasional after hours support as needed
* Must be able to establish, maintain, and follow documented processes and procedures
* Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Business Availability Center (BAC), Universal Configuration Management Database (uCMDB), Discovery and Dependency Mapping (DDM), Business Process Monitor (BPM), Performance Insight, Sitescope, OR Crystal Reports is a plus
* Experience in operating, maintaining, and integrating Operations Manager with Network Node Manager, Performance Insight, Internet Services, and other HP software tools
