Functional Responsibility: Analyze the threat to networked weapons platforms and U.S. Government information networks. Conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures. Analyze network events to determine the impact on current operations and conduct all-source research to determine adversary capability and intent. Participate in projects related to software protection, security auditing, vulnerability research and malicious mobile code. Perform post-event analysis, and produce technical intelligence reports for users and senior officials and as representative cases.
Professional Experience: addition capability desired in one or more of the following:
•Perform all-source intelligence analyses of cyber activities to identify attributes of interest (their methods, motives, and capabilities)
•Determine malicious behavior and recognize developing patterns and linkages to visualize the larger picture of cyber-based operations
•Provide expertise and leadership to the team in the development of analytical models and assessments.
Education, Certification and Training: Sufficient years of domain experience in Intelligence Analysis, or a closely-related field/discipline, or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and subsequent demonstrated Intelligence Analysis experience within the USG or private sector. Evident critical thinking, advanced research, and problem-solving experiences are also desired, as well as network and vulnerability experience.
