Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Cyber System Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Arlington, VA area.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This position and program provides reliable and comprehensive monitoring and strategic analysis of Information Assurance (IA) incidents/events as they occur, are detected, and are reported within and across the DHS program. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines and analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures system standards are met.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree with 5 years industry experience. 9 years of experience in lieu of college degree.- 3 years of Systems Engineering Experience within a program- 9 years experience in software development, programming, and/or engineering.- Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of two (2) years experience with at least one (1) of the operating systems: Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Fegora, Montavista), Windows 00/XP/Vista, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Mac OS X, Unix.- Within the last three (3) years, demonstrated programming experience supporting a project for one(1) of the following technologies: Web applications, GUI development, User interfaces/usability, Cloud computing, Map/Reduce, Geolocations, SW Radio, Text processing, Natural language processing, Entity extraction, Entity disambiguation, Distributed processing, Java-RMI, SOAP, RESTful services, Virtualization, TCP/IP, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Document processing, Machine learning/classification.- Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with DHS Suitability This position is contingent upon contract award.
