Northrop Grumman Information Systems Sector is seeking a Java Developer to join our team of qualified individuals. The position will be located in Fairfax, VA. We are looking for an experienced software engineer that has a background in working closely with a technical team and who is familiar with the full software lifecycle. The software engineer will be responsible for building J2EE web applications. The individual will work on a team to design, develop, and maintain systems. The software engineer will investigate and collaborate to resolve customer issues to include providing software fixes to problems. Our processes include requirements engineering, system design, software development, unit and integration testing, formal software testing procedures, configuration management, and quality assurance techniques. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform software coding of secure systems, but duties also include participation in and support of each stage of the software development process. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Conduct / participate in multidisciplinary planning, design, and development of software systems. Assist in the design of new applications and enhancements to existing applications. Develop code for new applications and supports code modifications to legacy systems. Perform unit testing and integration testing for new and legacy applications. Develop supporting documentation, including requirements, design, and technical manuals. Support regular Customer interaction through memos, status meetings, and technical exchanges.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 9 years of experience, Masters degree and 7 years, AS degree with 11 years, 14 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience should include 5 years of software development in JAVA. Working knowledge of object-oriented programming methodology is also a requirement. REQUIRED TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Hibernate, Spring, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, Oracle or SQL Server Database, Lucene, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), AJAX, ExtJS, Oracle, XML, PKI, LDAP, Subversion, Integration, Spring/Struts (or other web MVC frameworks), Hibernate (or other persistence frameworks)
