Northrop Grumman Marines Systems specializes in the development; manufacturing, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling systems and propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. This position supports the development and deployment of missile launching systems and will perform the perform the following tasks: develop and define the reliability/availability/maintainability (RAM) requirements for new products; prepare RAM program plans; develop reliability models and allocations; perform predictions on mechanical and electro-mechanical components; generate Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses and Fault Tree Analyses; set-up and manage a Failure Reporting And Corrective Action System program; prepare reliability test program plans; generate step-by-step test procedures; conduct hardware testing; perform statistical analyses on test data; perform RAM assessments on hardware in service; investigate equipment failures and develop corrective action plans; collaborate with engineering to ensure reliability requirements are incorporated, directly interface with customers on RAM matters and give technical presentations; and perform project management and budget control. Minimum Bachelors degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field with at least 5 years experience in the reliability field. Individual must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications: Minimum Bachelors degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field with at least 5 years experience in the reliability field. Individual must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance. Ability to prepare complex MS Excel worksheets.
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Reliability Engineer. Ability to use RELEX software. Experienced performing system safety hazard analyses would be a plus.
