Our client located in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a Senior Microsoft Engineer for a 6 month to potential hire project.
Position Responsibilities:
This is a key leadership position on the Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS) Corporate Services Engineering Team. Tasking will revolve around the DFAS Enterprise Architecture Development and Deployment. Activities include design, testing, documentation and integration of all DFAS Enterprise Network hardware and software, and the robust and elegant systems design and integration. It is a hands-on position that also includes regular management interface to obtain management direction in architectural decisions and resolution of issues. There will be opportunities to analyze and report on new technology and equipment, as well as regular maintenance and reporting on the existing network.
Required Skills:
· US Citizen is required
· Secret or higher clearance is required
· 5+ years experience as a Microsoft Engineer or similar role
· Prior working experience in large Microsoft environments
· Must have extensive background and experience in:
o Microsoft Exchange
o Active Directory
o SQL Design and engineering
o Server Operating Systems, etc.
· Expertise in one or more core areas:
o Microsoft WIN2003/2008 Server
o Exchange 2003/2007
o SQL
o Virtualization
· Certification with at least 2 of the following:
o MCSE/MCITP-EA
o VMware VCP
o CISSP
· Excellent spoken and written communication skills
