In general, designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Performs systems development and design work that may include I/O design, model formulation, cost projections, computer system architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineering. Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Participates in the upgrading of applications and operating systems and design of systems enhancements. Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems. Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems. Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance. Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.

More specifically, provides engineering requirements identification, system architecture definitions, hardware/software specifications and/or designs, implementation assistance, testing, and deployment support to team leads and implementation team members. Provides support in developing an appropriate HBSS architecture and engineering design. Provides support to the customer in the engineering of solutions to include all required communication paths, data storage, and reporting. Provides coordination and administration required for the delivery of customized solutions. Addresses all technical problems associated with McAfee software and provide proactive support. Provides product implementation and sustainment support as required for the NIPRNET and SIPRNET HBSS help desks. Creates and updates system design documentation. Identifies and implements improvements in existing methodology, processes, and procedures. Provides right-seat training to team leads and HBSS implementation and sustainment team members in new techniques, tools, and other HBSS-related skills.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Minimum of 2 years HBSS experience.
Proof of DoD 8570.01 ITA-II (e.g., Security+) and HBSS 4.5 Administrator certifications are required to apply.
Currently has Secret security clearance or ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
Willing to work paid overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
Must have current Passport - some Overseas travel may be required (approximately 20% CONUS and OCONUS travel).
Additional IT/Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, MCITP-SA, CCNA, etc.) highly desired.
