In addition to all tasks stated under Administrative Support Specialist I, also performs the following:

• Performs miscellaneous accounting/finance/budget support functions e.g. Reviews invoices and statements (verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated, and if questionable, resolving with the submitting unit, determining accounts involved, coding transactions, and processing material through data processing for application in the accounting system); Analyzes and reconciles computer printouts with operating unit reports; Reconciles accounts; Updates, verifies & reconciles individual payroll registers; Tracks RWA/REQs; Assists with preparation of budget reports;
• Supports property management and security with various functions, e.g. access control, access requests, access cards etc.
• Assists in developing and maintaining program databases and master files.
• Serves as liaison between private industry and government on specific programs; Attends meetings and records and reports on the proceedings.
• Anticipates and prepares materials needed by the supervisor for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings, telephone calls, etc., and informs supervisor on matters to be considered; Reads publications, regulations, and directives and takes action or refers those that are important to the supervisor and staff; Prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries.
• Researches current policies and coordinates with other departments to develop procedures to standardize and disseminate to each site; Selects relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc., under general directions; Advises staff or subordinate office(s) on new procedures; requests information needed from the subordinate office(s) for periodic or special conferences, reports, inquiries, etc.
• Resolves problems in recurring assignments in accordance with previous training and experience.
• Other administrative duties as assigned from time to time.
