Northrop Grumman - Electronic Systems is seeking multiple Software and Systems Engineering applicants for its summer internship program in Boulder, CO. Successful candidates can expect to receive an assignment to a team supporting one of following engineering disciplines and should have a general understanding and willingness to engage in any of the responsibilities listed.
Systems Engineer:
- Performs analysis at all levels of the system lifecycle to include: concept definition, requirement decomposition, interface definition, integration, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. -Supports technical planning, system integration, verification and validation for OPIR Ground station software and hardware. -Interacts with engineering teams to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into system solutions; acknowledges technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Software Engineer:
-Works with engineers to define requirements, ensuring customer goals are achieved. -Supports the software development lifecycle through software design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging. The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Requires enrollment with at least 2 years of completion or graduate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent degree program. Excellent interpersonal skills; proven verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills and attention to details. Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance. Proficient in object-oriented languages (e.g. C++, Java) and IDE (e.g. Eclipse) use; Knowledge of UNIX and Linux shell scripting;Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS); General knowledge of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems preferred.
