Minimum Requirements :
Note: URS Corporation is now seeking potential Supply and Service Manager candidates interested in leading a Field Logistics Readiness Center support activity at Fort Bliss, TX. Upon award of contract qualified candidates will be considered for employment which will start May/June 2010 time frame.
High school diploma or GED and minimum 5 years of government supply supervisory experience with budgetary responsibilities of $25M.
Past experience in Installation or US Army Supply activities (Materiel Management/Supply operations to include fuel and ammunition support/IPBO operations) a plus.
Must demonstrate ability to:
o Read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals and contract delivery orders. o Write routine reports and correspondence. o Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. o Calculate figures and amounts such as man-hour standards and percentages. o Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. o Work through production/personnel issues effectively.
Position may require travel. Must be able to pass and maintain favorable background security clearance check.
Job Description :
Provides guidance to deliver efficient work procedures, work schedules, and workflow. Monitors contractual delivery orders, contract funds status, customer satisfaction, and satellite job sites for contract compliance. Supervise, coordinate, assign duties, provide leadership, and reviews the work of assigned staff and/or contracts for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Monitors and fosters harmony among the crew complement.
Reviews composite reports from individual reports of subordinates prior to submission. Provides guidance to correct errors and complaints. Monitors work sites during and after completion to determine safety, quality, and completeness.
Monitors the process of work orders, labor time sheets and material requests for accuracy before submitting. Prepares written and oral reports to the Project/Program Management staff as required.
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested. EOE M/F/D/V
