We are seeking Associate level personnel to directly support the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) Personnel Security Division (DAC-3). The position requires technical and executive support within certain functional areas, including but not limited to: the Personnel Security Records Management and Administrative Support Function (RMAS), Special Security Support Function (SSS), Investigative Administrative Function (IAS), and Polygraph Support Function (PPS). The DAC-3 requires assistance to properly provide customer service, maintain existing administrative and investigative records, comply with mandatory record retention requirements, ensure database maintenance, and provide administrative support to the personnel security adjudicative and clearance/access process.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing security forms packages to ensure the scope of information requested in the instructions are met, identifying incomplete and/or missing data and contacting applicants to obtain the missing data/corrections and/or required signatures.
Creating investigative files and ordering existing investigations from various investigative agencies.
Sending request for investigations (OPM, DSS, or the DIA vendor) as directed and in accordance with current DOD requirements and DAC-3 procedures.
Making, issuing, and controlling DoD, DIA and Intelligence Community (IC) identification cards and security/access control badges, including DIA security badges, IC Badges, courier badges and Common Access Cards (CAC).
Accountability of personnel security dossiers, ensuring the integrity of data entries made to those dossiers and related databases.
Performing standard office reception functions to include entry and circulation control (escort) functions, answering telephones, and referring customers/clients to affected personnel.
Tracking all case movement on a weekly basis, including OPM/DSS submissions to ensure scheduling notices are received and/or verified in appropriate databases within 30 days of submission.
Collecting, processing and distributing all in-coming and out-going Branch mail.
Responding to direct queries for information (walk-ins, telephone and/or email).
Preparing, editing, formatting, and finalizing out-going correspondence.
Collecting, compiling, preparing and distributing Branch daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual metric and productivity reports.
Operating the DIA Central Tasking System (ProcessIT) for the Branch.
Performing daily courier duties between DIA facilities as required using a government provided vehicle (valid drivers license required).
Conducting initial review of Unofficial Foreign Travel requests, obtaining security dossiers, checking appropriate databases and responding to requestor.
Requirements:
Ability to work at four government sites, located in DIA Facilities in Bolling AFB, Washington, DC; Fort Detrick, MD; the Pentagon, Washington, DC; Clarendon Building in Arlington, VA.
Knowledge and experience of general administrative and federal government (DSS or OPM) personnel security procedures and practices
A high school diploma
Skills in the use of various types of office automation
Must be proficient in using desktop computers and navigating through various security databases
Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
The ability to take ownership of assignments and successfully complete on time
Top performer who consistently meets or exceeds goals
Superior communication skills - written, verbal and presentation
Excellent customer service skills
