Description:

Securicon, LLC is seeking qualified applicants for on-site customer support to the Joint Task Force Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO) Command located near Fort Meade, MD. JTF-GNO is a USSTRATCOM Component whose mission is to operate and defend the Department of Defense (DoD) Global Information Grid (GIG). The JTF-GNO is in the process of re-locating from the Arlington, VA area to the Fort Meade, MD area as part of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process.

The qualified applicant will become part of Securicon’s support to the JTF-GNO J34 Network Defense Division. The J34 coordinates and oversees the distributed NetOps workforce in the execution of current Computer Network Defense (CND) and Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures, with the goal of assured information availability, protection, and delivery in order to enable decision superiority to the warfighter. The applicant will be involved in a wide range of CND and IA activities related to the secure operation of the GIG.

Responsibilities:

• Develop DoD enterprise network security policy and guidance based on current Global Information Grid (GIG) systemic incidents, intrusions, or threats.
• Develop Network Defense Tasking Message (NDTMs), Warning Orders and Communication Tasking Orders for the JTF-GNO to direct computer security action to subordinate organizations for implementation in order to mitigate risk or correct identified network vulnerabilities.
• Analyze various emerging threats and incidents affecting the DoD GIG, conducting mission analysis, developing viable strategies and initiatives to resolve or mitigate potential adversary threat vectors, and recommending the best Course(s) of Action (COAs) for the initiative.
• Coordinates and synchronizes daily CND branch activities regarding DoD incident handling and current CND operations.
• Review internal network defense branch processes identifying recommendations for improved execution and efficiency.
• Develop branch level Concept of Operation (CONOP) and Tactic, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to document required processes for GNO net defense personnel.
• Leverage strong background in DoD classified and unclassified network architecture and enterprise security capabilities to develop threat mitigation strategies.
• Make recommendations for new or improved security capabilities for the DoD.
• Research issues and compose technical bulletins on computer security issues.
• Provide technical analysis and briefings to senior military and civilian leadership up to the FO/GO level on computer security incidents and global network defense actions.
• Strong understanding of DoD CND policy and procedures to include DoDI 8530.2 (CND and Computer Network Defense Service Providers (CNDSP)), CJCSM 6510 (Incident Handling Program), DoD Service NOSC relationships, etc.

Requirements – Must Have:

• Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance
• Experience in application of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) concepts, practices, and tools.
• Strong information security/cyber security background.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and programmatic information, often in the form of verbal and visual operational updates, situation reports, and briefings.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong Writing and Presentation Skills.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.

Preferred:

• CI Polygraph.
• Knowledge and experience with DoD Combatant Commands, Military Services, Agencies, and Field Activities operations and missions.
• Experience interpreting, applying and advising others on DOD IA/CND policies, guidance, and regulations.
• B.S. Degree in computer/engineering related field.
• Compliance with DoD Directive 8570.01 (CISSP or IAM3/IAT3 certification)
