| Logistics Manager- Ft. Belvoir and OCONUS |
|
The mission of the Rapid Equipping Force (REF) is to equip operational commanders with commercial-off-the-shelf and government-off-the-shelf solutions to increase effectiveness and reduce risk, insert future force technologies and surrogates to validate concepts and speed capabilities to the Soldiers and assess Army business practices, desired capabilities, and acquisition techniques to effect institutional Army change. The REF serves as a solutions catalyst, canvassing the military, industry, academia, and the science community for existing and emerging technologies. Position requires travel to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Required Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge and experience in US Army acquisition logistics doctrine, life cycle product management, sustainment planning and implementation.
Knowledge of Army units, doctrine, training and operations
Knowledgeable in Army property accountability (training/certification in PBUSE) and transportation procedures.
Thorough knowledge of DoD acquisition process
Ability to deploy into the current theaters of operation for at least 50% of the time, typically for one year at a time is essential
Bachelors degree (in Logistics Management or related field) or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience, with one to two years supervisory/management experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I certification or civilian equivalent certification in Life Cycle Logistics strongly desired
