| Forensic Analyst |
|
Job Description
Candidate must be highly skilled, senior grade and able to provide forensic support to media exploitation. Additionally, Computer Forensics Analyst will use computer forensics expertise to support rapid and accurate exploitation of captured enemy documents and media. Must possess the ability to perform forensic investigations across multiple technologies, including Workstations, Servers, PDAs, Telecom equipment, Peripherals, and Documents relative to a given case. Must be able to work independently, as part of a team, and able to manage his/her own forensics workload. The candidate shall: Provide thorough computer forensic analysis leveraging his/her extensive computer forensic experiences and knowledge to support the exploitation of captured enemy documents and media. Identify computer files (programs, documents, videos, emails, etc) for further analysis. Possess extensive computer knowledge and skills to quickly leverage the latest computer forensics software to extract multi-media files for analysis. Prepare recurring and non-routine reports. Protect friendly networks by following information assurance policy, thoroughly examining captured electronic media for malicious software to identify, quarantine, and eliminate cyber threats. This position requires skills in word processing, data entry, knowledge of advanced language software programs and the ability to participate in forensic processing.

Required Experience
•Have proven knowledge and experience with new technologies and programming techniques for multiple software languages, including, but not limited to SQL programming, C#, C/C++
•Have a Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSCS, BSCE) from a four-year college or university, and 1 - 3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Have 1 - 3 years Windows development using Microsoft .NET
•Have strong SQL programming experience
•Be proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Must be flexible with schedule and travel requirements of client service projects
•Possess a professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
•Have strong knowledge of EnCase Forensics and / or EnCase Enterprise, FTK
•Have report writing and investigative skills
•Understand Basic Unix commands for study of CACHE Flow Logs
•Have strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking, SMTP, Exchange Message transport
•Web filtering, Spam Filtering, and Message Capturing Technologies
•Have expert knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange System internals and database design
•Strong Understanding of Privacy Laws, Incident-Response Principles, Encryption Principles and PKI
