Market Analyst  
The Strategic Social business development team is in need of a highly motivated, self-starter who demonstrates success in a fast-paced work environment with team-oriented deadlines. Successful applicant must have superior research capabilities as well as a demonstrated commitment to quality work products.
Responsible for conducting and analyzing federal and commercial business opportunity research. Principle duties include: identifying federal requirements using in-depth primary (conferences, industry days, etc.) and secondary (internet, list serves, etc) source research; updating and tracking progress on previously identified federal business opportunities; synthesizing research, analyzing overall market trends; and the provision of written oral briefings to internal staff and executive leadership and externally to potential teaming partners.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Stay abreast of public sector procurement developments in line with company strategic plan to enable and facilitate quality data collection and representation.
•Maintain in-depth understanding of federal government agencies in order to assess and report on future public-sector requirements.
•Conduct research, analysis and deliver of high-quality and timely recommendations and summaries of public-sector opportunities and initiatives.
•Conduct and analyze overall market trends and provide written and oral briefings to internal staff.
•Update and track progress on previously identified federal business opportunities. Synthesize research findings and analysis in structured written and oral formats.
•Represent Strategic Social at public-sector industry events.
•Ensure the quality, depth of analysis and usability of all marketing products/analyses.
•Support management in the selection and responses to of RFP, RFI and Sources Sought issuances. Other duties as assigned. Reports to: Director of Capture Management
COMPENSATION:
•Competitive salary plus;

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in relevant area required; Master’s degree preferred.
•Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in marketing, customer support, data collection, business development or government relations. Former Gartner, INPUT, FedSources or Forester experience a plus.
•Cleared or clearable required.
•Superior ability to synthesize complex concepts in both written and oral forms.
•Adequate oral presentation skills.
•Keen attention to detail, particular in writing.
•Ability to learn and apply complex market knowledge quickly.
•Excellent internet research skills.
•Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Advanced ability with Excel highly desirable.
